Using the Visualizer Control Buttons

While the runtime visualization is being created, you can use the image2021-4-16_16-34-27.pngStop button to terminate the building of the visualization or the image2021-4-16_16-35-23.pngPause button to temporarily halt it. A runtime visualization that is paused or has not begun building can be started with the image2021-4-16_16-36-0.png Play button.

When the runtime visualization completes, the image2021-4-16_16-36-48.pngStop and image2021-4-16_16-37-36.pngPlay buttons are dimmed because their actions are not available. You can return to the start of execution and step forward and backward through the entire series of execution events as follows:

  • Click the image2021-4-16_16-40-29.pngFirst Event button to return to the start of execution.
  • Click the image2021-4-16_16-41-30.pngLast Event button to go to the end of execution.
  • Click the image2021-4-16_16-42-48.pngStep Backward and image2021-4-16_16-44-47.pngStep Forward buttons to move backward and forward.

You can also use the keyboard arrow keys to move up and down through the list of events in either of the Events views.
