Configuring Intercommunication Facilities

Code Debug CICS functions in environments that use various CICS intercommunication facilities, including:

  • Multiregion operation (MRO)
  • InterSystem Communication (ISC)
  • Dynamic Transaction Routing (DTR).

Specific installation steps may be necessary to use Code Debug CICS most efficiently in these environments. For specific information on debugging in an intercommunication environment, see the

Code Debug CICS Reference Manual.

This task involves CICS Administrator.

This section describes installation steps under the following topics:

Important

The use of CRTE when using Code Debug in an MRO or ISC environment is not recommended. For more information, see the section “MRO and ISC Debugging Considerations” in the section entitled “Intercommunication Considerations” in the Code Debug CICS Reference Manual. Code Debug global parameter OK_TO_USE_XPEDITER_WITHIN_CRTE_SESSION=NO can be specified to prevent starting an Code Debug session within a CRTE explicit routing session.

Perform the tasks in the following applicable section to configure Code Debug’s intercommunication facilities.
