Upgrading
This milestone guides you through configuration of an upgrade to Abend-AID 17.02 from Abend-AID 12.4 or more current, using the Abend-AID Configuration and Customization Dialog. To upgrade an existing Abend-AID installation, you need to step through the Abend-AID Configuration and Customization dialog panels to generate the JCL necessary to configure the following licensed Abend-AID components:
- Abend-AID Viewer (viewing server), which is required for all sites
- Batch Abend-AID
- Abend-AID for CICS
- Abend-AID for Db2
- Abend-AID for IDMS
- Abend-AID for IMS requires no further configuration

The following roles are involved in this milestone:
- Abend-AID installer
- Abend-AID for CICS installer
- CMSC administrator
- CICS system programmer
- Database administrator
- z/OS system programmer
