Configuration parameters controlled by the CMSC

Abend-AID installation sample library hlq.CTL sample PARMLIB members AABD00, AATD00, and AAVW00 provide the core parameters required or recommended for the Abend-AID BDCAS, TDCAS, and viewing server components, respectively and can be used as skeletons for parameters for your site’s installation.

Sample PARMLIB members AABDALL, AATDALL, and AAVWALL include the comprehensive parameters for the associated address space. If your site requires non-core parameters, copy those individual parameters to your site’s PARMLIB member that requires non-default parameter values.

Use the z/OS MODIFY (F) command to update the CMSC BMC PARMLIB with the AABDxxxx, AATDxxxx, AAVWxxxx PARMLIB members you modified or ask your CMSC administrator to do so.

Note

  • Whenever you modify an existing CMSC PARMLIB member or add a new member, you must execute the CMSC REFRESH command to update the contents of the CMSC cache.
  • If you modify an existing CMSC PARMLIB member or add a new member while the BDCAS, TDCAS, or viewing server is active, the change will not take effect until you restart the affected component.

For additional BDCAS, TDCAS, and viewing server optional configuration parameters, see the following chapters:
