Abend-AID viewer user-defined DSECTs

You can define DSECT images to the Abend-AID Viewer using the user DSECT functions, including DSECTs for other third-party packages or MVS.

This section describes the following tasks involved in supporting user-defined DSECTs:

  • Allocating a user DSECT file
  • Adding the user DSECT file to the viewing server JCL
  • Stopping and restarting the viewing server
  • Creating site-specific DSECT images.

Note

You must use the Abend-AID Viewer MAPD command with the USER keyword to display user-defined DSECTs. For information about this command, refer to The “Abend-AID-Viewer-Commands” chapter in the Abend-AID User/Reference Guide or the “Abend-AID for CICS Commands: M through Z” of the BMC AMI DevX Abend-AID for CICS.
