Getting Started

This section helps you get started with accessing and navigating within the Abend-AID web UI.

When you click the Abend-AID card under BMC AMI Products for Web on the CES home page, the Abend-AID web UI appears. The Abend-AID web UI displays the following marbles:

  • Abend-AID Web Viewer: You can use the Abend-AID Web Viewer if Abend-AID is configured and running in your environment, and you have the required privileges to use it.
  • Abend-AID Web Interface Link: You can use the Abend-AID Web Interface Link marble to create or delete an Abend-AID Web Browser Interface link. This can link to the Abend-AID Web Interface if you are licensed for Abend-AID or BMC AMI DevX Abend-AID for CICS, and one or both of these products are installed on your system. Click this link to open a list of Abend-AID Web Interface Domains from which you can choose.

Important

The UI varies depending on the user roles assigned to you by the system administrator at your site. System Administrators must create user names and assign user roles before they can perform certain restricted functions. For more information, see Defining security settings in the CES online help.

The subsequent tables describe the menus available in the Abend-AID Web Viewer UI.

User Profile

In the upper right-hand corner of the screen, click the user icon and select User Profile, to view the user name of the user currently logged on to the session and a description of that user's access.
