BIRT Report Parameters

To change BIRT report parameters:

  1. From the Fault Viewer, select Reports. The Manage Reports panel appears.
  2. In the Report Name column, select a desired report.
  3. Click the Run Report icon (icon_run_report.gif). The Parameter dialog box appears. All fields marked with an asterisk, * are required. All of the fields contain values, which can be changed if desired.
  4. Enter the report beginning and ending dates using the form yyyy-mm-dd (e.g. 2013-03-01)
  5. Select a drill-down data field from the drop-down list.
  6. Specify whether to Use the Database Time or to Adjust TImes to a specified time zone.
  7. Enter the desired offset.
  8. Select the JDBC driver check button based on the type of database used. Choices include MS SQL Server and IBM DB2.
  9. Enter the JDBC connection string for the driver if you selected the MS SQL Server driver in the previous step..
  10. Enter the user ID and password to access the database.
  11. Enter the name of the system where the Fault Analytics Server resides.
  12. Enter the time zone being used.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
