Creating New Rules
Fault Analytics uses two types of Rules — Event rules and Duplicate Event rules. Event Rules evaluate fault events through a set of user-created conditions. When those conditions are satisfied (i.e. true), an action or set of actions also defined by the user gets executed. Duplicate Event Rules are about suppressing events
Create a new rule
- From the Fault Viewer, select Administration. The Administration panel appears.
- Select Rules. The Edit Rules panel appears.
- Click New Event Rule or New Duplicate Rule. The rule editor dialog box appears for the type of rule you selected. For rule-specific information, refer to the subsequent sections.
