Getting started

The BMC AMI Common Enterprise Services (CES) product is a required web-based platform component providing common services for the BMC AMI Products for Web and BMC AMI DevX Workbench for Eclipse.

When you access CES  for the first time, the login page might prompt you to change the password. This happens if CES security is enabled. For more information, see Securing-access-to-administrative-functions and Adding-a-user.

You can cross-launch CES directly from the BMC AMI Platform. You can configure multiple CES instances in one place and access them from the BMC AMI Platform. This integration enables CES users to use BMC AMI Platform capabilities, such as AMI Assistant and Knowledge Hub, for a more connected experience. For more information, see Using CES.
