Getting started


The BMC AMI Common Enterprise Services (CES) product is a required web-based platform component providing common services for the BMC AMI Products for Web and BMC AMI DevX Workbench for Eclipse.

From CES, you can navigate to other installed BMC AMI Products for Web, which are organized within the following product groups:

Use the steps described in the following table to navigate in the user interface.

Action

Access and manage the CES settings

  1. Navigate to the top menu in CES.
  2. Click Administration.
  3. Select the required option from the Administration menu to access and manage settings within CES. For more information, see Administering.

Access an installed BMC AMI Products for Web application page

Click the required web product card on the CES home page or click Menu Grid.pngon the top bar and select the required product.

Note: If a product is not installed, the CES home page indicates that the product is not installed, and the product does not appear in the Grid.pngmenu options.

Access support pages

Click Help.pngand select one of the following options:

  • Help: Access the context sensitive help page for the UI.
  • About: View the version, build, copyright, and other CES information.
  • API Documentation: Access API documentation.
  • Collect Support Files: Select to collect and download files to be shared for Support. In the Collect support files dialog box, enter the required Support .zip file name and click Ok to start the download.

View a desired number of items in the table

Click Records per page at the bottom of the table and select the relevant count.

You can log on, log off, or change host connections for a web product, or access user profiles. If your security mode is set to either Internal or LDAP, you can log off from web products.
