Adding a security role


You can add a security role and assign rights to that role, in the Add role dialog box. Perform the following steps:

  1. Specify a Name for the role.
  2. Enter a meaningful Description for the role to indicate the purpose of the role.
  3. In the Rights pane, select the relevant rights to be assigned to the role for the respective BMC AMI Products for Web. The selected rights appear under the respective web product. For more information about the default rights per BMC AMI Products for Web, see Product roles and rights.
  4. Click Add. The role is saved with the given name and associated functions.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
