Displaying and managing storage devices within XBM

You use the SSI monitor to monitor and control intelligent hardware devices through the XBM ISPF interface. To use the SSI monitor, the SSI component must be started and properly configured for the XBM subsystem that you are accessing.

XBM gathers information about the supported devices during the discovery process when you start the SSI component. For more information about the SSI component, see How-the-SSI-component-works.
