Considerations for special timestamp recoveries
You must fully understand the following considerations and restrictions before attempting a special timestamp recovery in a production environment.
A middle-of-a-log time (not a log stop time) is that time between a DEALLOC time and a subsequent ALLOC time. You usually set up this condition by using the /DBR command with the NOFEOV option. When you place the database back online and update it, DBRC creates a new ALLOC record. If the new ALLOC record occurs on the same log as the DEALLOC record, you can use the STR keyword to recover up to the DEALLOC time.
