Methods for rebuilding indexes
With the Recovery utility, you can rebuild primary and secondary indexes using any of the following methods:
- traditional method to recover indexes
- BLDINDEX keyword
- SIUDSN keyword
- invoke SECONDARY INDEX UTILITY to rebuild non-recoverable indexes
These methods are described on the following pages.
The structures of several example databases are included along with example control statements that show how to recover these example databases and all associated indexes. In these examples, the Recovery utility dynamically allocates the database data sets, the input image copy data sets, and the change accumulation, system log, and output image copy data sets.
