SLOG keyword
Use the SLOG keyword to specify whether to use all available secondary logs as input.
When you specify SLOG(Y), the Recovery utility requests access to the secondary log from DBRC.
- If the secondary log is not recorded in DBRC, the Recovery utility uses the primary log as input.
- If the secondary log is recorded in DBRC, the Recovery utility uses all data sets in the secondary log. If any of the data sets in the secondary log are flagged in error by DBRC, the Recovery utility uses the primary log data set as input.
The Recovery utility ignores the SLOG keyword when you specify DBRC(N).
The SLDS keyword also works with the SLOG keyword to control the use of preferred and alternate logs. For more information, see Designating-preferred-and-alternate-logs.
If you specify the SLOG keyword, do not specify the LOGINPUT keyword.
