Recovery Manager Primary Menu panel
When you execute the BMCIRM CLIST or select the Recovery Manager option from another panel, the Recovery Manager Primary Menu panel is displayed.
Use this panel to provide the name of the RMGR you want to use and to select the category of task you want to perform.

Type the Recovery Manager name. Select an option. Then press Enter.

To select the category of the task
Provide the requested information in the following fields and press Enter:
- Recovery Manager name
Type the name of the started task or job that starts the RMGR that you want to use in this operating system. For more information about this started task or job, see Starting-RMGR.
Instead of specifying an RMGR name, you can specify the sharegroup name; XCF connection will be made to the RMGR started task or job that belongs to the sharegroup. Choice selection field
Select one of the following options:

Create and maintain groups and submit recovery management functions. Most DBAs regularly perform tasks in this category. For more information, see Working-with-groups-and-objects and Initiate-and-monitor-functions.

Monitor the status of recovery management functions. Most DBAs regularly perform tasks in this category. For more information, see Monitor-the-status-of-functions.

Create and maintain environment, utility, and profile information. Typically, the RMGR administrator (the person who is responsible for configuring and maintaining RMGR in the environment) and other DBAs perform tasks in this category. For more information, seeDatabase Products for IMS Customization documentation and Working-with-profiles.

Access the Recovery Advisor panels. This option is available only if the BMC AMI Backup and Recovery for IMS product is installed; if you have the RECOVERY MANAGER for IMS product, this option is displayed as an asterisk (*), and the Recovery Advisor panels are not available. For more information, see Recovery-Advisor-function-BMC-AMI-Backup-and-Recovery-for-IMS.

Access the Recovery Extensions feature for maintenance of additional recovery assets. For more information, see Recovery-Extensions-feature-of-BMC-AMI-Backup-and-Recovery-for-IMS.

View the version, release, and maintenance level of the product and information about how to contact BMC.

View information about online messages and errors and view a list of Help topics.
