In addition to information-only fields, the Profile Maintenance panel — page 8 contains the following specification list:

Specification list for the Profile Maintenance panel

If some or all database data sets should be redefined before recovery, you must identify the library or libraries that contain the IDCAMS statements or the JCL that RMGR will use to redefine them.

Use this specification list (and, if necessary, the specification list on the Profile Maintenance--Page 9 panel) to specify the data set names of the libraries to include in the concatenation. If no database data sets should be redefined before recovery, leave this list (and the list on the Profile Maintenance panel — page 9) blank.

Tailor the list as needed, and press Enter to verify your changes. Press Enter again to display the next panel in the sequence. Enter the END command to return to the Profile-Management-panel or the Profile-Selection-panel.

The specification list contains the following fields:

Field

Description

Act

Enter the following action codes in this field to the left of a data set name in the list as needed:

  • I
Insert one or more data sets names after this data set name. To insert data set names ahead of the first entry in the list, enter I in the Act field of the Top of Data row.
  • D
Delete the data set name from the list.

AMS DEL/DEF or DELETE PDS Data set name(s)

On each row, type a data set name of a PDS to include in the data set concatenation. You can specify a maximum of 114 data set names. Each PDS must be cataloged.

Note

You can specify a maximum of 114 PDSs.

If you store IDCAMS DELETE and DEFINE statements or JCL in the same data set, specify these data sets on this panel and leave the fields on the Profile Maintenance panel — page 9 blank.

If you store IDCAMS DELETE and DEFINE statements or JCL in separate data sets, specify only the data sets that contain the DELETE statements on this panel. Specify the data sets that contain the DEFINE statements on the Profile Maintenance panel — page 9.
