IMS Command utility examples
The following examples show JCL for deallocating databases (/DBR command) and then starting those databases (/STA command).
In the examples, the program IRMICMD is executed for the IMS system IMSP or for the sharegroup SHRP. If IMSP belongs to a sharegroup, and GLOBAL is specified, RMGR issues commands to all active IMS systems that belong to that sharegroup.
For all of the databases and areas deallocated and then opened, a zero return code is issued. You can use the IMS Command utility to schedule batch processing without needing someone to supervise the closing and opening of your databases.
