IMS commands in batch
The IMS Command utility provides a positive response for selected IMS commands.
You can use the IMS Command utility to perform a simple checkpoint of IMS, to switch the online log data set (OLDS), and to close and open databases and data entry database (DEDB) areas. When you issue IMS commands with this utility, you receive a positive response in the form of a return code that indicates whether command processing has completed successfully.
For a list of the commands that the utility supports, see IMS-Command-control-statements.
