Select the last batch image copy

You can choose recovery to the last batch image copy if you are able to perform batch image copies regularly for all the databases and can afford to lose all data between the image copy and the point of failure.

The last batch image copy in the cleaned RECON is selected for each object. If you are using the IMS Database Recovery utility, recovery to the last batch image copy is recommended.

  • Batch Interface utility: Specify RECOVERTO=LASTBATCHIC.
  • Recovery Options panel: Select option 2 (Last Batch Image Copy) or 3 (Last Batch Image Copy Prior to Timestamp).
  • Find Recovery Points function: Select a Batch IC recovery window.
