Select the last PIT CA timestamp

If you use the last point-in-time (PIT) change accumulation (CA) as the recovery point, you are not required to ship logs offsite.

You can use the BMC Change Accumulation utility to create a PIT CA at home and ship it offsite along with the image copies.

The recommended procedure is to run the PIT CA with or without a timestamp, using the Recovery Extensions feature to make multiple copies, and then perform the RECON and repository backups.

  • Batch Interface utility: Specify RECOVERTO=LASTPITCA.
  • Recovery Options panel: Select option 5 (BMC Recovery Last PIT CA).

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
