The QUICKSTART for MVS (QSM) product is an intelligent checkpointing utility that provides a uniform interface for checkpointing and restarting batch applications written in various programming languages and running on various database management systems. You can use the QUICKSTART interface with existing applications and new applications.

There are a number of features in this space that are no longer supported by the QSM product. The documentation of these features is provided as a convenience for those customers running older releases of the QUICKSTART for MVS product and are intended for downward compatibility reference only. These features include the following:
