Bitmap Detail report
The Bitmap detail report (see the following figure) shows the bit map value for each block in the data set.
PCP generates a Bitmap detail report for each data set group in the database.

The Bitmap detail report always starts with block 1 (the bit map block) regardless of whether the data set is OSAM or VSAM. The subheading line shows the amount of space used by IMS to determine whether or not the block has free space. This value is normally the maximum segment length in the data set group.
Each line of the report represents 100 blocks/CIs. An asterisk indicates that the corresponding block/CI does not have enough free space to hold the largest segment type in the data set group. A blank indicates that there is enough space to hold the largest segment type. A dash identifies unformatted blocks to the end of the track.
