Using PCPSYSIN control statements
PCP accepts control statements from the PCP control statement data set (PCPSYSIN).
The control statements tell PCP which databases to validate. They also override processing options set in global options modules and DBD options members. Whether you need to use control statements depends on whether PCP is executing under another utility or as a stand-alone utility:
- The use of control statements is optional when you execute the Hash Checking technique under another utility; the other utility determines which database(s) to process. In this case, you can use control statements only to set processing options.
- The use of a control statement is required when you execute PCP as a stand-alone utility using either the Hash Checking or Full Checking technique. The only requirement is to provide the DBD name of the database to validate. Setting processing options is optional.
This topic describes the syntax of the statements in PCPSYSIN and the three types of statements you can use.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
