Setting options at the global level
You can use the ISPF interface to create, view, and change global options modules.
The default global options module is named PCPPARMS. The other global options modules are typically associated with an IMSID. Their names consist of the literal PCP@ and a variable identifier (1-4 characters) which is usually the IMSID; however, it can be any identifier, such as for an application or group. PCP uses the PCPPARMS global options module by default if no global options module exists for the current IMSID.
The following general procedure outlines how to add a new global options module through the ISPF interface:
- Access the BMC Software IMS DBU Product Selection Menu panel.
- Type s next to Data Integrity Products.
- Press Enter.
- Select option 1 to access the PCP primary menu.
- On the PCP primary menu, type or verify the IMSID and the name of the library to contain the global options module, typically the BMC Software load library.
- Select option 3. PCP displays the Global Options List panel.
- Type ADD PCP@xxxx, where xxxx is the IMSID. PCP displays the first page of the Processing Options panel.
- Verify or type over the option values shown. Press Enter to display the next page of the Processing Options panel. When you press Enter on the last page, PCP saves the new module and returns to the Global Options List panel.
The following sections discuss the global options module panels in more detail. See Using-the-ISPF-interface for information about the BMC Software IMS DBU Product Selection Menu, the PCP primary menu, and the general use of the ISPF interface.
