Setting up space monitoring interactively


The following general procedure outlines how to set up space monitoring for a database through the ISPF interface:

  1. Access the BMC Software IMS DBU Product Selection Menu.
  2. Type s next to Data Integrity Products.
  3. Press Enter.
  4. Select option 1 to access the PCP primary menu.
  5. Select option 5 to access the Monitor Features panel.
  6. Select option 3. PCP displays the DBD Name Selection panel.
  7. Type S to the left of a DBD name to set up space monitoring for the database. PCP displays the Space Monitor Registration panel for the database.
  8. Verify/change the threshold values for the items, type the maximum number of reports you want to maintain in the PDX, verify/change the panel-generated data set name, and enter the END command. PCP displays the Space Monitor Report panel. The database is now registered for space monitoring.
