Introduction

This section introduces you to POINTER CHECKER PLUS (PCP) from BMC Software, Inc. To help you manage DL/I databases, PCP validates DL/I structural elements; collects, reports, and monitors statistics; provides an interactive way to browse and edit segments and blocks; and provides other utilities to accomplish specific data management tasks.
