IMSID

PCP uses the IMSID associated with the database being validated as follows:

  • The IMSID is a part of the PDX member key of information saved to and retrieved from the PDX data set. This information can include statistical reports, threshold and monitoring setup members, and threshold and monitoring statistics.
  • The IMSID can be associated with a global options module (through the module name PCP@imsid). PCP searches for this global options module when it builds the option values to use for the job step.

PCP gets the default IMSID from the DFSVC000 module in the IMS RESLIB library. Use the IMSID option to override the default.

Note

When you view PCP reports through the ISPF interface, be sure to type the same IMSID on the panel as the IMSID that was used during the execution of the pointer checking process. If you type the wrong IMSID, the ISPF interface shows that the expected reports do not exist.

Uses

You can set the IMSID option on the GLBL control statement only.
