DESCCODE

PCP can issue messages to notify you of error conditions and, optionally, warning conditions it finds during validation. Use the DESCCODE option to describe descriptor codes for messages you can reroute (some PCP messages are always issued to the master console and are not under the control of this option).

Descriptor codes are defined in the section on the WTO macro in the OS/VS2 MVS Supervisor Services and Macro Instructions manual.

Uses

You can set the DESCCODE option at the following levels:

  • Global options module
  • GLBL control statement

ISPF panel field

DESCCODE(code1,code2,…)

Values

Specify a list of descriptor codes. Separate the codes in the list with a comma. Use a maximum of 10 characters (not including commas).
