CHKILDS

PCP validates the HAL/DB EPS pointers RBA value for both healed and unhealed pointers against the RBA of the target segment. The unhealed pointers are validated by using the RBA value from the ILDS.

Note

This option is not available when you use the Hash Checking technique.

Uses

You can set the CHKILDS option at the following levels:

  • GLBL control statement
  • CHECK control statement
  • CHECKALL control statement

Note

This option is not valid with DYNDB(IC) or TYPE(HASH).

This is not turned on with the CHK(ALL) parameter.
