The following fields are available on this panel.

1. ADD

Select this option to add new Copy Table entries from the Copy-Table Entry Add panel.

2. COPY

Select this option to copy an entire Copy Table into the table being edited from the Copy-Table Entry Select panel.

Copy-table name

The Copy Table specified on the Copy-Table Entry Select panel.

Copy-table description

An optional text string describing the Copy Table.

Row nnnnnn of nnnnnn

Displays the total number of entries in the Copy Table. The first variable is the number of the entry at the top of the list. The second variable is the total number of entries in the table.

Note

When entries are added the total field is updated immediately; however, when entries are deleted, the total field is not updated until you exit the Copy-Table Entry Select panel.

Act

Type D to delete the Copy Table entry. Type S to select the Copy Table entry for updating.

Lterm

The heading Lterm, Pterm or Userid displays depending on how the field Assigned LCP copy entries by has been specified on the IMS/VS Parameters panel. The field specifies how LOCAL COPY PLUS identifies users.

Destination

The user is directing copies to this destination. The destination might be defined with the Destination Select panel, or it might be a Route List. This destination can be uniquely specified for this user, without having a destination entry in the destination table.

Control Group

User is limited to this Control Group (which is a list of valid destinations). The user can change the copy destination to any name listed in the Control Group. If the user attempts to change the destination to one not in this Control Group, the request will fail.

Note

A Control Group name of ALL means the Copy Table entry is unrestricted, and the user can send a copy to any valid destination.

Applctn. Format

The MFS format named appears only for this user as he or she logs on/signs on to IMS. This option is only effective if, on the IMS/VS Options panel, the Format first Menu for field was set to A (All) or S (Some).

User Grp

Specifies the user as a member of the named User Group. Users can route copies to other destinations within the assigned User Group if IMSID options are set accordingly. The User Group name must be four characters long.

Room No.

Prints the room number typed here on the header page. This number has nothing to do with routing.

Grp Upd

Specifies whether the user is defined as a Group Leader. Group Leaders have the ability to create and update Copy Table entries and destination entries for users in their group.

Usr Upd

Select Y to allow a user to modify his/her copy options.

  • Enable Copy
  • Acknowledge Copy
  • Include Header
  • Page Eject

If N is selected for this field, the user can not change these options.

LCL CPY

Turns the LOCAL COPY PLUS copy key on and off for the individual user. This is useful when applications use the same copy command key as LOCAL COPY PLUS.

Ack Msg

Determines whether an acknowledgment message is sent to the sending user when copy functions complete.

Prt Hdr

Specifies if a header page is included with the copy.

Hdr Eje

Specifies whether a page is ejected before the header page.

Fmt Sgn

Indicates if this user has a formatted signon screen presented after the terminal is connected to IMS. This option can only be effective if on the IMS/VS Options panel the Format Signon for field was set to S (Some), and the IMS/VS signon format name field on the same panel has a valid MFS name specified.

Fmt Nws

Indicates whether the user has the LOCAL COPY PLUS News Facility presented during the logon/signon process. This option is only effective if on the IMS/VS Options panel the Display news for field was set to S (Some).

Note

You can print an entire selected copy table from your ISPF session by entering either one of the following commands on the COMMAND line:

      PPRT dest name
ROUTE dest name

where dest name is a valid JES2 destination name (for example, R0, N1R55, etc.).

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
