Overview - LOCAL COPY PLUS IMS VS interface

In this context, the System Administrator is typically someone who has overall responsibility for the LOCAL COPY PLUS environment. System Administrator functions are performed using both the LOCAL COPY PLUS and IMS interfaces. System Administrator functions performed using the IMS interface are password protected.

Group Leaders are optional and can only be assigned by the System Administrator. Group Leaders can use the IMS interface but only for a subset of users. Group Leaders are typically Supervisors, or other knowledgeable individuals, who will set up or maintain the LOCAL COPY PLUS environment for their department.

LOCAL COPY PLUS users can be defined by the System Administrator, a Group Leader, or automatically by the LOCAL COPY PLUS system. Users can be allowed to change many of their LOCAL COPY PLUS options for their session (i.e. change their copy destination) or they can be tightly controlled by the central site.

Each access level has a different LOCAL COPY PLUS Primary Menu. This results in the following three panel schemes.
