Batch PDX Utilities

This section discusses the PDX utilities you can execute in batch mode. It also discusses the syntax of the PLUSIN control statement data set.

Warning

Some BMC Software products require particular PDX record lengths, block sizes, and/or key lengths. The utilities distributed with those products often hard-code these requirements into the PDX utilities to help users avoid mistakes when allocating and maintaining the PDX. You should use the PDX/PDS utilities discussed in this manual with the BMC Software Database Utilities products and MAXM Reorg for IMS solutions only! Do not use these utilities with other BMC Software products; use the PDX utilities distributed with those products. Also do not use the PDX utilities distributed with other BMC Software products with a Database Utilities PDX.
