Space announcement We are no longer updating this space, and you cannot comment on this space. The IMAGE COPY PLUS component is now documented in BMC AMI Backup and Recovery for IMS.

SYSIN DD statement

The SYSIN DD statement defines the input control statement data set that contains IMS-format utility functions (ICPSYSIN format statements are not allowed).

The BMC Image Copy utility bypasses any commands except D and S.

The SYSIN DD is required if you omit ICPSYSIN or use IMS-format functions. It is also required for timestamp recovery. The VSAM KSDS index and track recovery options of IMS are not supported.

Important

When you can include both a SYSIN DD and ICPSYSIN DD statement in the job step, the utility always processes the ICPSYSIN DD first and then processes SYSIN DD as if it were concatenated to the end of ICPSYSIN. This arrangement lets you use the ICPSYSIN GLBL control statement to set processing options while still using your existing SYSIN control statements.

Uses

Optional with the following functions:

  • IIC and AIIC
  • OIC and AOIC
