Prepare function DBRC considerations

Before you execute the Prepare function, you must register any new areas being added to the DBD in DBRC.

You can use the optional REGISTER subcommand with the PREPARE command to register new areas, or you can register new areas in DBRC before you execute the Prepare function. For more information about the REGISTER subcommand, see Registering-new-areas.
