Offline processing

You can execute the primary commands that are associated with the Fast Path Indexer/EP build, verify, and XSCAN functions (BUILD, VERIFY, and XSCAN) in offline mode.

Offline mode processes a primary DEDB or area that is offline to all IMS control regions. In offline mode, no other utility or process can be executed concurrently by using the database or area that is being processed by Fast Path Indexer/EP.

You can also execute the XSCAN command in IFP mode (see Online-IFP-processing) and the VERIFY command in BMP mode (see Online-BMP-processing).
