WTOR Messages and the Responses


The table lists the WTOR messages that BMC Database Director for IMS can issue, the valid responses you can specify or include in your automation, and the default action that Database Director takes.

Database Director has completed the reorganization and is waiting on a response to the WTOR message so that it can /DBR the database(s) and apply the final updates.

D2SYNC, D2FINISH, D2STATUS, or CANCEL

The operator must respond.

NSO2007I

The estimated outage required to complete the reorganization for an online database is excessive.

D2SYNC, D2FINISH, or D2STATUS

Database Director issues the D2FINISH command

NSO2008I

Few or no updates are required to complete the online reorganization

NSO2009I

The estimate outage required to complete the reorganization of an online database is brief.

NSO2010I

There are no IMS regions with read or update intent for the online database

NSO2011I

A valid status cannot be obtained from the DCF data collectors for an online reorganization (Database Director cannot capture updates.)

D2SYNC, D2FINISH, or D2STATUS

D2STATUS

NSO3000E

Database Director issued one or more commands that failed and it is waiting on a response for how to continue.

Specify RETRY or CANCEL.

The operator must respond.

NSO3007I

A command that Database Director issued failed. For example, a:

  • DCF HOLD command failed
  • Data set could not be allocated
  • /DBD or /DBR command failed
  • SUSPEND or RESUME command failed

Specify RETRY or CANCEL. If you specify RETRY, also specify the:

  • Number of retries
  • Amount of time between retries
  • Database Director issues the RETRY command every minute for 100 minutes.
  • If the RETRY command is not successful, Database Director issues the CANCEL command.

NSO3008I

If you specified RETRY for NSO3007I, the number of retries has exceeded the limit

CANCEL

If the RETRY command is not successful, Database Director issues the CANCEL command.
