Starting the BISS Using a Started Task


Use the following procedure to start the BMC IMS Software Server (BISS) using a started task.

  1. Locate ?bmcihlq.CNTL(BMCISERV).
  2. Edit the JCL using the instructions in the member.
  3. Add the member to a system PROCLIB.
  4. For each of the LPARs, specify the following command.S BMCISERV,SSID=BISx

    where x is a suffix of 0-9 or A-Z

    If the subsystem ID is BISA, specify S BMCISERV,SSID=BISA.
