Defining table and dictionary records
You must execute the Trial utility to create table records and dictionary records. The Trial utility creates dictionary records when you specify Custom Hardware Dictionary compression for the segments. The Trial utility creates table records when you specify Custom Huffman or Shared Table compression for the segments.
Table and dictionary records are stored in the DPICDS. When you promote table and dictionary records from STAGE to RUN level, table and dictionary load modules are created and stored in the DPITBL data set. DATA PACKER/IMS can then load the modules into protected storage at database OPEN time.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
