Environment information
You can type ENVIR on the Command line of the DATA PACKER/IMS Primary Menu to display the DATA PACKER/IMS Environment panel, shown in the following figure.

This panel displays the last version and level date of DATA PACKER/IMS as well as information related to the operating system environment. Data such as user ID, terminal, and SPF release are also displayed. It also lets you determine whether hardware data compression (HDC) is supported in native mode (the Hardware Compression facility is available) or in emulation mode.
If you encounter a problem, you should access this panel to determine and report the environment in which the problem occurred.
