Accessing the ISPF interface
This section describes how to access the product ISPF interface directly with a CLIST if the interface was set up in a typical way.
The person who installed the product may have set up access to the ISPF interface in any of several ways. SeeInstallation System documentation for more information.
To access the ISPF interface directly with a CLIST
- If you have not already done so, invoke ISPF.
- Display a panel that accepts TSO commands, such as the TSO Commands Utility panel (typically option 6 on the ISPF primary menu).
Enter a statement that executes a CLIST to invoke the ISPF interface.The installation process tailors the BMCDBU CLIST, which invokes the ISPF interface and accesses the BMC SOFTWARE IMS DBU PRODUCT SELECTION MENU panel. The following command is an example for executing the CLIST:
EX 'your.clist.dataset(BMCDBU)'
BMC SOFTWARE IMS DBU PRODUCT SELECTION MENU
When you execute the BMCDBU CLIST, the BMC SOFTWARE IMS DBU PRODUCT SELECTION MENU is displayed as shown in the following figure:

Select a BMC IMS product/utility by entering an 's' next to your choice.
Then press ENTER.

To access the Change Accumulation utility ISPF interface from the BMC SOFTWARE IMS DBU PRODUCT SELECTION MENU
- Enter S in the field to the left of one of the following options:
BMC AMI Backup and Recovery for IMS
The BMC AMI Backup and Recovery for IMS - Primary Menu is displayed.
Backup and Recovery Products
The IMS DATABASE UTILITIES - BACKUP AND RECOVERY PRODUCTS panel is displayed.
- On either panel, select option 3.The Change-Accumulation-Utility-Primary-menu is displayed.
