SWSTORCL keyword

Use the SWSTORCL keyword to specify the STORCLAS (storage class) for a new sort work data set.

You can use this keyword if you want SMS to manage the data set.

The utility ignores this keyword if SMS is inactive.

Optional in global options modules and on GLBL and SORT control statements

Values

Specify one of the following values:

(Blank) Allocate the data set without a STORCLAS specification.

storage class name

Use the specified storage class name (1 through 8 alphanumeric characters). Your storage administrator defines the allowed STORCLAS name.
