CAUNIT keyword

The CAUNIT keyword specifies the device unit name to use when dynamically allocating output change accumulation data sets.

You can also use this keyword to specify the number of physical units to allocate.

Optional on the following control statements:

  • GLBL
  • GROUP

  • CAUNIT(unitname)
  • CAUNIT(,count)
  • CAUNIT(unitname,count)

Values

Specify values as follows:

unitName

1-8 alphanumeric characters. Identifies the unit name.

,count

Numeric (1-59). The number of devices to allocate. For a tape device type, the Change Accumulation utility will automatically limits the count to 2.

CAUNIT(TAPE,1)
