CAAVGREC keyword

The CAAVGREC keyword specifies whether to allocate DASD space in blocks or logical records when you dynamically allocate new Storage Management Subsystem (SMS) output change accumulation data sets.

The Change Accumulation utility ignores this keyword under any of the following conditions:

  • The data set to be allocated already exists
  • SMS is inactive
  • You stack the output change accumulation data set—STKCA
  • You do not request dynamic allocation—CAALLOC(N)
  • You specify the first subparameter of CASPACE as CYL or TRK

U

Allocate space in logical records.

K

Allocate space in logical records. The primary and secondary values (see CASPACE) specify space in multiples of 1,000 logical records.

M

Allocate space in logical records. The primary and secondary values (see CASPACE) specify space in multiples of 1,000,000 logical records.
