AVGREC keyword

Use the AVGREC keyword to specify how to allocate DASD space for a new output data set that uses the associated dynamic allocation model.

You can use this keyword if you want to use Storage Management Subsystem (SMS) to manage the data set.

The utility ignores this keyword under the following conditions:

  • SMS is inactive.
  • You request stacking for the output data set.
  • You specify the first subparameter of the SPACE keyword as CYL or TRK.

Use

Optional in predefined models and on MODEL control statements
