Overview

The BMC iLM for IMS product consists of a set of intelligent library management utilities that assist in the management and verification of Application Control Block (ACB) and related libraries used by IMS and CICS systems. These utilities not only provide a set of ACB library management tools, but also can provide you with a higher degree of database integrity and availability.

BMC iLM for IMS provides the following features:

• Extensive and informative reports
• Verification that all members in an ACB library are in-sync with the corresponding members in a Database Definition (DBD) or Program Scheduling Block (PSB) library
• Ability to analyze an ACB library for potential problems
• Verification that all members are at the same IMS version and release level
• Ability to preview the processing of certain commands
• Use of wildcard names to request a subset of member names in a library
• A summary of command execution with the Chronological Activity Log
