Restarting a CAS

You can restart one or all of the CASs after you have drained them

For more information, see Draining-a-CAS.

You cannot restart a CAS that you have stopped (see Stopping-a-CAS). BCSS dynamically starts new CASs when it needs them.

To restart a CAS

  1. Issue one of the following commands:
    • bcssid CAS RESTART casid

The drained CAS that is identified by casid is restarted.

    • bcssid CAS RESTART ALL

All of the drained CASs are restarted.

  2. Check the system log to ensure that the command has been completed successfully. If successful, BCSS responds with messages for each CAS that is restarted.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
