Restarting a CAS
You can restart one or all of the CASs after you have drained them
For more information, see Draining-a-CAS.
You cannot restart a CAS that you have stopped (see Stopping-a-CAS). BCSS dynamically starts new CASs when it needs them.
To restart a CAS
- Issue one of the following commands:
bcssid CAS RESTART casid
The drained CAS that is identified by casid is restarted.
bcssid CAS RESTART ALL
All of the drained CASs are restarted.
- Check the system log to ensure that the command has been completed successfully. If successful, BCSS responds with messages for each CAS that is restarted.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
