Subsystem operations

This section describes the BMC Software Primary Subsystem (BMCP) and the BMC Software Consolidated Subsystem (BCSS), the functions that are performed by these subsystems, and the commands that are used in each subsystem.

The section also describes the BCSS commands data set, including

  • adding commands to the BCSS commands data set
  • using optional security parameters with the commands data set
