Translate C-Number to User Name or User Name to C-Number

The (T)ranslate option is very useful for finding the COPE C-number names for DBDs or PSBs and also provides debugging facilities for determining whether a PSB is in the correct ACBLIB after compilation.

  1. Access the translate application under COPE ISPF with Option T.
  2. Fill in the name of the resource (Translation Option).

  4. Enter B to access the debugging facilities when a PSB or DBD C-number name is displayed.
If it is a PSB, the following figure is displayed after pressing Enter.
This information is extracted from the STUBX and shows whether a PSB has been included, whether this PSB services the Lsys (no switched to Tran) and whether the unavailability of a database is to prevent scheduling of the transaction (Handle NA = NO).

  5. Press Enter to produce the following member statistics figure.

This shows the dates of the various transformations of the IMS processes:
    • PSB import and compile date
    • the date and time when the ACBLIB dataset received the PSB.
  6. In addition, the active ACBLIB is displayed.
If there are inconsistencies on the dates, warning indications will be displayed.
  7. Press PF3 again to display the PSB or DBD source generated from the PSBLIB or DBDLIB as displayed in the following figure.
