Message Format Services (MFS) Operations
The treatment of MFS (Message Format Services) is a little different from that of the PSBs and DBDs. The COPE system can access a copy of the production system Format Libraries. Whenever a change is made to a format definition or a new format introduced, it must be imported into the Logical System that uses it. If a format is not imported into a Logical System, COPE will use the ‘production version’ of the format.
Typically, on a new COPE installation, no formats are imported.
